For more than 30 years this approach has led us to build unforgettable spaces that help our clients thrive, no matter how they use their space.

Every project starts with a question: how can we give this space a voice?

From there, we dive into every detail of the project. Who you are, your goals, your plans for the future. How you will use the space, and the ways you might use it that you’ve never imagined. We seek to understand the things that drive you, so we can create something that helps you on that road. It’s the result of our relentless curiosity and desire to better understand both the clients we partner with and the world around us.

History

A legacy of partnership

In 1987, we started with five employees and a few folding tables. Since then, we’ve grown to more than 200 employees nationwide with an international reputation and a portfolio of award-winning work.

But what’s more important than what we’ve done is what we’ll do next. We hope you’ll be a part of that.

At Vocon, we approach design with a broader perspective, recognizing the profound impact the built environment has on people, communities, and the planet. Sustainability is woven into our practice, with our LEED, Fitwel, and WELL-accredited professionals leading the way. Our commitment is evident in our portfolio, which includes over 50 projects that have achieved recognized sustainability certifications.

Sustainable operations: A commitment to the future

Vocon is committed to the future of the planet. Our team has worked thoughtfully and thoroughly to understand our carbon footprint and plan a path to reduce our impact. We are proud to report that in 2024 the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) verified our net zero carbon target by 2030.

To accelerate our progress, we currently purchase Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) to offset Scope 01 and 02 emissions while actively developing strategies to eliminate direct operational emissions. Additionally, we are collaborating with suppliers and partners to advance their sustainability commitments—aligning efforts to achieve our ambitious net-zero target.
